This sounds like a question for the developers. even with an Intel i5 four cores at 3,7 Ghz. I need to use at least 1024 or 2048 samples in ALSA or i get stuttering, etc. I suffer from an insane amount of instability in Reaper since day 1. It's not just a Yabridge issue, but since Yabridge (or other bridging) doesn't make pro audio on linux less prone to problems, I included this scenario since it bears mentioning.

What inside the config folder would contribute toward instability? and thanks for the replies. The crashes happen this way: gui stops responding, sound keeps playing until i 'killall reaper' from terminal. Have you tried again with a clean REAPER config folder? Just trying to rule a few things out. I know it's not helpful but REAPER is stable for me while running various yabridged plugins. Which yabridged plugins do you have issues with? Does it ever do it for non-yabridged plugins? If not, this is probably a question for the yabridge thread.
